Our client is a manufacturer of rail fastening systems and aluminothermic welding. They have created rail infrastructure in more than 100 countries. Their portfolio extends to equipment that makes constructing and maintaining railways more efficient. Their sustainable resilient systems extend the life of track, and our electrification solutions support urban transport across the globe.
They are looking for a Financial Accountant to assist to ensure the proper and efficient management of the central Finance & Administration Department operations, within the scope of the role.
This is a Sydney based role (in Blacktown) and candidates should already reside in Sydney and be available at short notice.
Key Areas of Activity and Responsibility:
- Monthly Flash Result (Sales, GP, NP, Order Book).
- Monthly preparation of full financial result for two overseas entities within APAC and entering it into the Group reporting system with the assistance of the broader finance team.
- Monthly Rolling Forecast (Full P&L and B/S).
- Ad hoc assistance with the financial aspects of the overseas offices as it relates to the entities for which the role is responsible.
- Working with the APAC Finance team, monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the overseas entities for which the role is responsible.
- Co-ordinate with various country tax advisors related to annual tax returns, transfer pricing reporting etc.
- Quarterly submission of Guarantee and Legal returns to the Group.
- Assist the Director of Finance APAC with Annual Development Plan.
- Assist Director of Finance APAC with annual budgets.
- Other tasks as delegated and/or directed from time to time by the Director Finance APAC.

Job Requirements
- CPA qualification or close to achieving it.
- Advanced Microsoft Office product skills.
- Some management training.
- Strong eye for detail.
- High level of accuracy.
- Must have held a similar position for at least 3 years.
- Able to work to strict deadlines.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Be a team player.
- Proven experience working with ERP systems, Microsoft Navision experience preferable.
