Alvaro Logistics Group is a growing tier two logistics company with an exciting opportunity available for a Commercial Analyst to support our Growth Strategy. This position will play a key role in logistics solution design for new and existing major customer contracts, working in collaboration with various departments within our team. You will assist in the production and costing of major tenders, as well as the analysis of existing contract profitability and production of QBR reporting. 

Our head office is located in Prestons, NSW however, we are open to considering applicants located in Sydney and Melbourne.

Other key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Developing equipment and resource cost models 
  • Detailed analysis of customer data to create comprehensive and sustainable logistical solutions
  • Reviewing and analysis of existing contract commercials and service level agreements
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and liaising with major customers
  • Determining resource levels for new contracts
  • Negotiating with outside equipment and service providers
  • Coordinating and validating customer rate reviews 

To be successful the following skills are required:

  • Expert level of MS Excel
  • Advanced MS Word knowledge with excellent writing, spelling and grammatical capability
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the logistics industry
  • Excellent communication with ability to connect at all levels
  • Confidence in presenting one on one or in group situations
  • A commercial understanding of transport and warehouse operating costs
  • Familiar with labour cost components
  • Ability to think outside the square, use initiative and creative flair
