Infrastructure DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions in a DevOps environment.

Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of software applications and infrastructure changes.

Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.

Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness using monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

Implement and maintain security best practices for infrastructure components, including network security, access controls, and encryption.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in production and non-production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and impact to business operations.

Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure automation, and recommend improvements to existing processes and tools.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Mandatory skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or related roles.

Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.

Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.

Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK stack, Splunk, or Sumo Logic for infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
