What will your role be?

The purpose of the Senior HRBP role is to partner effectively with the Commercial & other critical functions within our business, leveraging both strategic and tactical interventions at the organisational and individual levels to achieve our ambitious commercial and people ambitions. As a trusted business partner and pivotal member of the leadership teams, you will play a crucial role in shaping the business agenda and your leadership will extend to building leadership capability and coaching our leaders to be change agents across talent, culture and employee lifecycle experience across the total business.

Internally, your role will be called the Head of People & Culture, and is designed to rapidly accelerate your career in line with your ambition and aspirations to future HR Director level roles, either in Australia or across APAC.

What does this role look like for you?

  • Shape and lead the Multi Year Talent Plan (MYTP) for the overall business, partnering with key leaders and the broader HR team to embed the strategic talent rhythm into the business and lead key strategic talent initiatives in regards to succession, talent forums and talent pipelining;
  • Lead organisational development for the Australian market, with a dynamic focus on ensuring Diageo remains future-focused and continuously upskills our workforce to drive sustained growth and innovation;
  • Embed a strong performance culture by fostering continuous improvement, ownership, and agility. Empower our people to excel and reach their full potential while building world-class people management, leadership capabilities, and engagement practices; and
  • Partner effectively with key function groups and leadership teams to drive performance, and build leadership capability through coaching and performance enablement strategies.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Extensive HR leadership experience, ideally already operating at a Senior BP level looking to fast track your experience to HRD level;
  • Demonstrated skill in talent planning, leadership development and capability building across a wide demographic of partnership groups;
  • A well-developed coaching and leadership style, for both internal partners and within the HR team;
  • Accreditation and experience within the LSI model is highly desirable; and
  • Mobility throughout APAC is also highly desirable.
