The Role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of specific projects in alignment to standards, budget and program. The Senior Project Manager will ensure objectives are defined, understood and executed at a high standard, within defined timeframes and budgets, whilst championing the health, safety and wellbeing of all stakeholders and providing mentorship to Project Managers.
Key accountabilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Reviewing and signing off HSE quality requirements, ensuring they are implemented and followed;
- Drive profitability, efficiencies and innovations within projects;
- Mentorship and development of Project Managers and Site Managers, and their career pathways through delegating of key tasks and allowing your team to take ownership of project delivery (i.e., minor procurement);
- Attending/chairing project control meetings including design reviews, HAZOPs, safety in design and site walk-throughs;
- Leading contractual negotiations with suppliers and assisting with customer contractual negotiations;
- Liaise with different design disciplines and project stakeholders to bring the design suite together for project delivery;
- Keep the leadership team informed about project status and addressing issues that may impact client relations.
- Ensuring projects are completed on-time, including being able to understand and successfully negotiate extension of time requests as required;
Skills & Experience
The role will ideally suit an experienced Senior Project Manager with ground mount experience and is happy to work remotely. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- Qualification in electrical trade/project management/engineering or similar discipline highly desirable
- At least eight years’ experience in construction/renewable energy/project management/engineering or similar. Ground Mount experience preferred.
- Ability to understand all facets of a projects life-cycle, including holding an in-depth technical understanding
- Hold a complex understanding of the industry
- Experience managing staff members and contractors
- Experience successfully managing budgets and maintaining cost control
- Understanding of Microsoft Suite (i.e.; Microsoft Project)
