The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is will see you take full accountability for the Tasmanian branches encompassing both operations and sales.
This includes overseeing the day to day functioning, P&L, budgets, profitability, and people leadership of the businessidentifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Leading a team of 45+ people with 5 direct reports, you will work closely with the GM on the development of the overarching organisation strategy.

Key Components include:

  • Coach, develop and lead high performing teams
  • Lead performance reviews identifying gaps for training and career growth
  • Review manufacturing data to reduce and eliminate excessive costs
  • Contribute to the health and safety of the business day-to-day
  • Anticipate and recognise market changes from competition
  • Drive innovation, accountability across all areas of responsibility
  • Empower your team to be accountable and making tough decisions when necessary
  • Work closely with the business to define the culture
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team and other state's General Managers on all aspects of operations and sales
  • Review areas of the business that are performing and underperforming in order to make decisions around improvement
  • Use your manufacturing knowledge to improve production processes and reduce costs
  • Review budgets and profits, identifying and mitigating risks

Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience leading large teams across Sales and Operations functions from the manufacturing sector
  • A demonstrated ability in driving transformational change to meet commercial outcomes
  • Strong sales capability, driving innovation and sales strategy
  • Solid understanding of production environments, improving processes and experience reducing costs
  • Demonstrated responsibility for P&L
  • Thought leader in change management, driving businesses forward through innovation and transformational change
  • Tertiary qualified
