Join our Brisbane based team working across multiple projects in the mining and mineral space across Australia and Internationally.
18th March, 2024Wave International is an independent consulting firm specialising in the execution of Engineering, Project Delivery and Asset Management services across Australia and overseas. Our clients cover the full spectrum of private and public enterprise, servicing the energy and resources, infrastructure, water, environment and urban development sectors.
We have a exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Designer to join our Brisbane Team. This role would suit someone with mining and minerals lean or someone willing to learn and develop in this area. The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform 3D layouts to support our Projects Team.
Skills and Experience required:
- Formal qualifications in a Trade, Drafting or Engineering
- 2+ years’ experience in a drafting role within a mining or engineering organisation
- An excellent working knowledge of Mechanical / SMP drafting and design principles used in producing final documentation.
- Demonstrated experience and the ability to utilise software including AutoCAD, Prosteel, Advancesteel, Navisworks. (Desirable- MicroStation / Projectwise)
- Ability to remain dynamic and agile, and work in a fast paced work environment
