What's the Role:

As a Business Analyst within our Finance team, you will play a crucial role in providing financial and commercial support to the Finance Manager (Commercial). You will develop strong business partnerships with Bradken’s Sales, Marketing, and Technology functions globally. Your contributions will assist in achieving the company's operating budgets, forecasts and strategic plans while ensuring adherence to company procedures and policies.

You are a team player within the Commercial Finance team to support the business in meeting its objectives, by performing in-depth analysis and reporting. Your analytical skills and attention to detail enable you to ensure that all processes are robust and effective.

You have a strong ability to measure and report on key sales, marketing, and product development metrics, contributing to the overall success of the team.

You will be integral in providing detailed and insightful analysis, commentary, and reporting on monthly results, focusing on performance against budget, forecast, and prior years. You will take a leading role in budget and forecast preparations, as well as support the Finance Manager (Commercial) with key strategic initiatives. This role will have a wide scope including exposure to sales and margin, SG&A overheads, capital expenditure, working capital, and internal control, including developing action plans to optimize financial results and ensuring business managers understand profit drivers.

Your expertise in financial analysis and reporting, coupled with your proactive approach to optimizing financial results and ensuring compliance, will contribute significantly to our team's success.

Key Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
  • CA, CPA or CIMA with a minimum of 5 years of relevant business exposure
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of BI datasets and reporting tools.
  • Preferred experience in commercial finance within a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
