Key Relationships:

  • Reports To: General Manager - Engineering
  • Key Internal Relationships: Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, Other Discipline Leads (EIC and Mechanical), Internal SMEs
  • Key External Relationships: Clients/Client Representatives, Suppliers, External Engineering Consultants

Purpose of Role: This role is to develop Process Engineering concepts and take them through detailed design so that they can be fabricated. The role requires a strong technical background in the CSG industry and the ability to work independently to develop process models, including Basis of Design, Heat/Mass balances, P&IDs, C&E matrices and Control Philosophy documents. 

Qualifications:

  • RPEQ (highly regarded)
  • Bachelor of Process/Chemical Engineering (required)

Experience:

  • Minimum two years of demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Design experience in multi-discipline applications
  • At least 10 years of experience as a design Engineer

Skill Set Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Team leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong mathematic and technical skills.
  • Basic computer skills including document and spreadsheet software.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to understand concept designs and develop them to a detailed level.

Accountability & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review and approve Process Engineering design documents to ensure that they meet customer (internal and external) requirements and standards.
  • Problem solve to develop solutions to emergent issues during design, manufacturing and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all stakeholders.
  • Work with manufacturing and operations to achieve continuous improvements in products and designs.

Legislative Requirements:

  • Compliance with all applicable standards, codes, policy, contract and procedure requirements
  • Ethical business conduct
  • Industry and project induction and other project requirements

Key Performance Indicators – Measured Outcomes:

  • Timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Quality and attention to detail in tasks performed
  • Other KPI’s as agreed with the General Manager - Engineering
