Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 40,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 470 people with an additional 1,600 contractors working on our assets.
AGIG is leading the way for the Australian renewable gas sector, and are committed to sustainable gas delivery today, and tomorrow. Our low carbon vision, targets 10% renewable gas in our distribution networks by no later than 2030, with full decarbonisation of our networks by 2040 as a stretch target and by no later than 2050.
About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an analytical focused person for our Asset System Analyst position. The primary focus of this role will be to support, manage and enhance the Maximo environment to suit the business needs via Transmission Operations and Asset Management, as well as providing strategic input into the application around lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyse and report to Transmission Operations (TO & TAM) any technical issues or enhancements e.g. application, database, cyber-security, or infrastructure,
- Take responsibility for managing impact through change, enhancement, or updates,
- Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency and increased operational resilience,
- Acting as a key contributor to review proposed changes to ensure they are consistent with the intention of how systems will operate across the application environment,
- Assist with the product strategy planning and application lifecycle management,
- Developing application lifecycle plans which address major upgrades and transformational projects,
- Working with Business Application owners (for Maximo) to identify opportunities where applications can uplift business capability,
- Ability to extract and analyse data for SQL database,
- Experience creating reports in various formats, i.e. PowerBi, Excel or SSRS.

- Proven experience working in a similar position,
- Ability to troubleshoot any issues that arise,
- Preferred Trade or engineering background.
