The opportunity

Callida is seeking staff at the Senior Principal Consultant and Principal Consultant levels to join our Program & Project Management (PPM) consulting practice. This role is ideal for those seeking to engage in meaningful, challenging, and high-profile projects that directly influence how government agencies operate and deliver outcomes to Australians.

The role

As part of our PPM team, your responsibilities may include:

  • Lifecycle Management: Working across all stages of the program and project management life cycles, including managing or supporting the management of programs and projects, and developing and maintaining key documents supporting delivery and processes.
  • Capability and Maturity Uplift: Enhancing the program and project management capabilities and maturity of our clients by improving frameworks, functions, and personnel).
  • PMO Implementation: Establishing and implementing Program / Project Management Offices (PMOs) to assist program / project delivery and support governance arrangements.
  • Sector Flexibility: Supporting programs and projects for clients across a variety of sectors and industries.
  • Collaboration: Reporting to and working closely with experienced program / project management practitioners to establish and maintain value-adding portfolio, program, and project management processes for our clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establishing and maintaining client relationships, proactively seeking opportunities to strengthen these relationships.
  • Professional Development: Receiving support for training to attain qualifications and skills to grow your PPM capabilities.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you should ideally have experience, skills, and qualifications in some or all the following areas:

  • Supporting the delivery of government programs and projects (both ICT and non-ICT) in a delivery or coordination/support role.
  • Developing tailored frameworks and materials to support enterprise-wide or specific program and project delivery.
  • Presenting program and project status updates through succinct and understandable verbal and visual presentations.
  • Supervising small teams providing program and project delivery services.
  • Interacting with stakeholders and managing ongoing relationships.
  • Mentoring and motivating team members.
  • Supporting Partners and PPM leads in identifying and growing business development opportunities.
  • Certification in program and project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, AGILE, PMBOK, P3O, MSP, Management of Portfolios, etc.).

Experience in a consulting role or within the transformation / program / project delivery space is beneficial but not mandatory. We consider a broad range of factors when evaluating applicants.

  • Demonstrating excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

You must have the ability to obtain (at a minimum) a Baseline security clearance or equivalent and be based in Canberra.
