As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solar Project Manager to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of solar energy projects in Melbourne, Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the solar industry, with a deep understanding of the local market regulations and grid interconnection process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of solar energy projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established targets.
- Liaise with national authorities and local municipalities to secure necessary permits, approvals, and grid interconnection agreements.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to identify project requirements and constraints.
- Lead project meetings, communicate project status updates, and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the solar industry.
- Strong understanding of the grid interconnection process for the Australian market.
- Proven track record of successfully managing solar energy projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with renewable energy policy and regulatory frameworks in Australia.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, such as solar photovoltaic systems and energy storage solutions.
