Reporting to the General Manager Digital, we're seeking a visionary Head of Digital Engineering to drive our technical evolution and help shape the future of our organisation. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for setting and executing our digital technology strategy which underpins TLC's digitalisation vision

What you'll do

• Strategic direction and leadership to the digital engineering teams. These are the teams who build and manage the systems for our retail systems, lotteries and Keno products - across both web and mobile platforms.
• Drive and evolve the digital technology strategy within our digital engineering teams.
• Shape technology architectures for digital products and platforms and collaborate to devise solutions aligned to the Architecture team.
• Manage and mentor a team of high-performing engineering managers, ensuring they have the necessary resources, support and guidance to be successful.
• Partner to understand and translate business initiatives into business cases where technology will provide value and benefits.
• Support business leaders with their presentation of technology requests.

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a technology-focused organisation with a track record of successfully managing engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience in technology engineering or product roles.
• Deep understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in successful delivery of a large, complex digital program of work that is consumer facing with significant knowledge of advising on a diverse set of strategic and operational issues.
• Experience working with a variety of supplier / resource models, including matrix, managed services, and multiple suppliers.
• Bachelor's Degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
