We're a young, goal-driven team with the mission of providing a 5 star service whilst providing the most cost-effective solution to high quality medical cannabis in Australia. We don't want to be the everyday medical clinic, instead bringing relatability and friendliness mixed with a level of professionalism to simplifying the process for our patients.
Due to our recent growth in the full-time team, we're looking to hire an experienced HR Manager Based in our Richmond office, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Recruitment/HR and collaborating closely with the leadership team to help create and implement HR processes across the organisation.
(Please note: the role requires at least 3-5 years of relevant experience - you should be able to teach us what we're not doing, but should be, in the interview)
Position: HR Manager
About the Role: As a HR Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of our full-time team, supporting the phenomenal workplace culture. As a fast growing start-up, the majority of tasks performed by the HR function need to be built out, for the first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Work with the recruitment team to attract, hire, and retain the best talent.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement and motivation of employees.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management function.
What we're looking for:
- Someone who can help us build out the HR function of the business, from (virtually) scratch.
- A seasoned operator who can teach us what we should/shouldn't be doing, based on their past work experience.
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager.
- People-oriented and results-driven.
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- A passion for medical cannabis
