Engineering - Software (Information & Communication Technology)

- Lead a team of six and report to the CEO directly (essentially you’ll be taking on duties of a Software Engineering Manager)
Well established Australian company in the field of Wealth Management and Superannuation is seeking a talented Software Technical Lead to join this high performing team.
Having been established (and profitable) for a number of years, this mature and successful company still has a entrepreneurial feel about them (especially their revamped tech group) and over the years they have developed into a true market leader and innovator and gained global recognition for their current services.
They are looking for a talented Software Tech Lead or Engineering Manager to join their product team and be the key person in guiding them through a major AWS transformation initiative and participate in some re-design. The codebase is almost a decade old and they’re migrating it to AWS in order to modernise their product and make it more scalable.
As part of a squad of six technologists, you will suggest ideas on which parts of the AWS ecosystem to use to design, develop, build and support a number of key products/initiatives that the business is currently rolling out. It’s almost a clean slate.
Their current tech stack is evolving with new tech added on a project-by-project basis, but the core stack is ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, Angular, TypeScript, MS SQL, PostgreSQL and AWS (e.g. Codepipeline, CodeBuild). Split in the role is 60% back-end and 40% front-end.
This is more than just an engineering role as you will get the opportunity to help re-build and shape product and services for one of the biggest growth industries in the world.

If you have a strong combination of the following skills and experienced we would love to hear from you.
- Prior experience with fast moving scale-up and start up product focused tech companies (preference given to candidates that have worked with innovative product dev companies as the focus is on innovation, generating new ideas and being adaptable)
- Proven experience with AWS as you’ll be the team’s SME in suggesting which parts of the AWS ecosystem to use (e.g. Professional level AWS certifications, or work experience that’s equivalent to a Professional AWS certification)
- Experience in working with microservices, modern release processes, building highly scalable, high available systems and working in a busy production environment
- Deep exposure to modern C# and .NET tech stack
