Located in picturesque Ballarat and reporting to the Group Head of Manufacturing, this role is integral within our business' leadership team. At Bendix, we are proud to be an Australian leader in automotive friction product(s). We have been manufacturing in Ballarat since 1955. 

Our ideal candidate will ideally possess the ability to lead, influence and drive the work standards of production and maintenance to implement strategic, innovative and critical projects within the company and embrace the following major responsibilities;

  • Lead, manage, and develop the production & maintenance team(s) to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with our quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality/ HSE, Sales, and Warehouse/ Supply Chain to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve performance targets.
  • Manage budget and resources effectively to meet production goals and financial targets.

What you’ll bring……

  • Demonstrated experience (3-5+ years) in a leadership role (preferably in manufacturing).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to manage change.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing philosophies.
  • Great interpersonal skills, that will drive employee engagement and build upon our people capabilities.
