About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Management Accountant.This position is located in their busy ACToffice for an initial contract until the 23/08/2024.

About the Position
The Management Accountant provides support to the to the Senior Director, Finance and the Executive Branch Manager, Corporate.
Duties
  • Develop, update and maintain financial management reporting models for internal stakeholders
  • Develop, update and maintain internal budget model and reporting
  • Enter and upload the annual internal budget
  • Develop, update and maintain reporting models
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director, Finance to produce business case modelling and costings as part of annual budget process.
  • Use various systems e.g. TM1 and Oracle, to generate reports to analyse and reconcile various general ledger accounts for month and year end processes.
  • Arrange for journals to be performed as necessary.
  • Contribute to the production of the annual Budget Book to provide guidance to Business Units on annual budgets, coding of expenses and historical records of changes.
  • Review and develop procedures to ensure remain contemporary.
  • Ensure compliance with financial management guidelines, statutory reporting and other legislation requirements and timeframes.
Requirements/Skills
  • Demonstrated practical experience and leadership in accounting, analysis and reporting, including demonstrated ability in developing and manipulating financial modelling tools and complex spreadsheets using computer systems such as Excel,
    Oracle, COGNOS and TM1.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with TM1 in reporting and budgeting is essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or studying towards these is highly desirable. CPA or ICA membership is also highly desirable.
