Group finance manager for a well established corporate company based in Canberra. Managing the finances of 6 entities, and 2 direct reports.
About Us:Our client, is seeking a talented and experienced individual to join the team as a Group Finance Manager. With a strong presence in the Canberra region, their group of entities operates in various sectors and is committed to excellence in all endeavours. They require a dedicated professional to help lead the finance team and oversee the payroll department.
Job Description:
As the Group Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all financial activities for the six group entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This challenging and rewarding position requires a candidate with a proven track record in financial management and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial planning and analysis for all group entities
- Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Lead and mentor the finance team and payroll team, providing guidance and support
- Implement financial controls and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives
- Monitor and improve financial processes and procedures
- Take responsibility for payroll operations and team management
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CA or CPA qualified would be a bonus
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Proven experience in team leadership and management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in financial software (Sage, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel
