About the Role
Endeavour Foundation is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their Executive Leadership Team. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO leads the Finance, Infrastructure and Lotteries (FIL) division, encompassing the Financial Performance, Finance Shared Services, Information Communication Technology, Data and Analytics, Lotteries, Asset Management, and Property Development functions. The CFO oversees the planning, development, and execution of these operations, ensuring they function as business enablers for Endeavour Foundation to reach its strategic goals.
The CFO must drive long-term sustainable growth while maintaining financial accountability. Key responsibilities include developing and executing divisional strategies, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration, and ensuring financial and operational excellence across Endeavour Foundation’s complex portfolios. The role demands initiative, strategic vision, and the ability to elevate team capabilities whilst ensuring alignment with Endeavour Foundation's mission and objectives.
About You
The preferred candidate for the CFO role will be a strategic leader, aligned with Endeavour Foundation’s vision of improving outcomes for those living with disabilities. They will be a seasoned finance professional, with a minimum of ten years’ experience leading complex financial operations and providing strategic oversight, holding tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, along with professional credentials (CA or CPA).
The ideal candidate will have a diverse background with a deep understanding of the human services sector, experience managing significant capital portfolios, an understanding of impact investing, and familiarity with divisional functions such as data, analytics and procurement. They will have a proven track record of managing operations and capital portfolios at a comparable scale. Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to drive long-term sustainable growth are essential.
Importantly, the incoming CFO must exhibit a “servant leadership” approach, both in leading the division and developing their team's capability, whilst recognising the importance of a strong financial underpinning in allowing Endeavour Foundation to support those living with a disability.
