The Opportunity:

Hooper Accountants currently have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Accountant/Client Manager to join our Toowoomba Team on a full-time or part-time basis. 

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with an experienced, committed team focused on delivering exceptional service to both established and emerging clients. 

Key responsibilities include:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a diverse range of duties including but not limited to the following:

  • Apply professional accounting, financial and taxation knowledge in the development and maintenance of client affairs
  • Provide exceptional service to clients through relationship management and effective communication;
  • Prepare tax returns, financial statements, BAS and IAS for all entity types;
  • Mentor and assist junior accountants
  • Provide knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements and ensure compliance is maintained;
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the services provided by the firm

To be successful in your application and this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Business / Commerce Degree with Accounting Major
  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Minimum 3+ years public practice experience (including taxation and compliance experience)
  • Experience with various entities including individual, companies and trusts;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Taxation law;
  • Comprehensive computer skills including knowledge of various accounting software
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
