At Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns we are looking to appoint positions as Front Office Supervisor within our Front Office Team.

The Hotel

Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 19 function venues and extensive food-and-beverage facilities, the property is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.

The Role

As the Front Office Supervisor, you will guide and support the Front Office team in providing excellent guest welcoming and engagement experiences.  You will ensure the shift flows and daily tasks are completed by the team in an accurate and timely manager.  This role is key in operations to support the Concierge, Horizon Club, Service Centre and Night Team.  Multiple roles are available in day and night shifts.

About you:

  • Proven experience in a Front Office team, preferably in a five-star hotel environment
  • A solid understanding of Front Office processes and systems
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (day and night shifts are required)
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Possesses the capability to supervise an enthusiastic team, instilling a sense of dedication and shared commitment towards the success of the hotel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
