Since launching in 2022, the existing e-commerce brand has grown rapidly, VLP brings expertise in startups, accelerated business growth, and cutting-edge product and technology development. With a deep understanding of the veterinary and pharmaceutical industries, they are poised to redefine the pet healthcare landscape.
About the Role
This role is critical to VLP overarching business goal of becoming Australia's #1 Online Pet Store. As VLP establishes a new and innovative business solution to complement its existing fast-growing core business, the successful candidate will bring an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to drive development within the e-commerce space.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce (Shopify) site, ensuring smooth functioning, responsiveness, and optimal user experience.
- Continuously monitor and analyse site performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance conversion rates, customer retention, and overall revenue.
- Work with key internal stakeholders to create a loyalty program that drives value for pet parents and the business.
- Implement and manage an e-commerce system to drive personalisation, recommendations, bundles, search, and merchandising.
- Manage and optimise our subscription platform, offerings, and referral program.
- Identify and implement ways to improve product information and content to drive sales growth and conversion uplift.
- Managing and executing promotional campaigns.
- Stay up to date with trends in the e-commerce space, retail market, and pet care/veterinary industry, and apply this knowledge to enhance the marketplace's competitiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to gather insights, share best practices, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Regular reporting and analysis of key business metrics.
The following describes you:
- An established industry professional with several years of e-commerce experience.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, commerce, business, or similar.
- Well-developed communication, time management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of e-commerce, marketing, and retail.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong UX skills and experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to initiate and drive programs/projects to completion with minimal guidance.
- Comfortable with an ambiguous, constantly evolving role, with a "no task too big or too small" mentality.
- Proficiency with data/analytics platforms, such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Klipfolio, Domo, Google Analytics/Optimize.
- Flexible work hours (part-time options available).
