Project Management Coordinator

Our NSW Government client is hiring for two highly capable and experienced Project Management Coordinators to join their organisation. Candidates will be expected to manage and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of complex recovery initiatives to achieve wider outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives. In this role successful candidates will have responsibilities aligned to that of a Junior Project Manager across a program level and will have requisite organisational experience. This is a chance to join a highly critical program of work, working closely with a cross-functional team.
Role Title: Project Management Coordinator
Contract Length: ASAP start date till 30/05/2025.
Daily Pay: $750 - $900 + Super per day.
Location: Milsons Point (2061)/WFH Hybrid
Role Requirements:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of program planning, development, and implementation for a range of projects, including developing program plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure program outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with established agency program management methodology.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure program deliverables are met.
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of program implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, program impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess program progress and effectiveness, and achieve program outcomes.
- Manage a program team/s, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes.
- Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based program planning and decision-making.
- Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging program issues and to support program development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other program and priorities.
Key Challenges:
- Managing consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints, and interests.
- Achieving program deadlines and milestones to the required standards and within budget, given the need to simultaneously coordinate and deliver multiple projects which are often complex and interconnected.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in program managing and providing program support services.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in a NSW Government organisation/ department is desirable.
Candidates must be based in the Greater Sydney Area and must possess existing full working rights - Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
