Overview:

Mucho’s Head of People and Culture  is responsible for overseeing the employment lifecycle for all team members including recruitment, onboarding, , training and development, and compliance with labour laws and regulations. This role requires a diligent and strategic approach to building the best teams in our venues as well as strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a diverse workplace culture where people are excited to come to work.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, including orientation sessions and the completion of required paperwork.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment  agencies and other sources of talent.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and issues, and take appropriate action to address and resolve them.
  • Promote a positive work culture and employee engagement through effective communication and relationship-building activities.

Performance Management:

  • Manage performance appraisal processes to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Identify training and development needs based on performance evaluations and career goals.
  • Work with venue managers to develop performance improvement plans and support employee development.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Identify training needs and priorities based on business objectives and employee feedback.
  • Coordinate with external training providers as needed to deliver specialised training programs.

Compliance and Policy Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with Fairwork regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations, and make recommendations for policy updates as needed.

Administer employee benefits programs,Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources 5 years generalist experience in human resources, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Up to date knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
