THE ROLE

The role of the Senior Project and Finance Officer is to undertake key project and financial management activities related to the reform of the Children and Families service system. This includes complex and comprehensive financial and project activities under the leadership of the Manager. In this role, you will support the team with project management, financial analysis, coordination and administrative support work across a range of reform programs that will drive long-term strategic benefits. The position offers an opportunity for a high-performing financial management expert to work in a fast-paced environment supporting project management initiatives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Work closely with the PMO Manager and internal reform teams to develop and implement consistent approaches and processes to support financial management and project delivery, governance, and reporting.
  • Formulate compliance and evaluation strategies to address specific issues related to the effective provision and implementation of required outcomes.
  • Support PMO team in complex research and investigations into service delivery issues, financial management, risks and trends impacting on achieving key business objectives, policy initiatives and operational imperatives.
