Company Overview: We are representing a highly successful, integrated financial services business comprised of approximately 100 exceptionally experienced professionals with broad industry expertise. Their comprehensive service offering includes Financial Planning, Lending, Investment Management and Accounting. They cater to families, self-managed super funds, corporates, and not-for-profits, providing top-tier financial solutions.
Position Overview: Due to exceptional and consistent growth in recent years, our client is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to support their CEO. The COO will oversee and manage the business operations, working closely with department heads to ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day activities. This pivotal role involves active participation in business planning and strategy, reporting directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership, motivation, and professionalism to uphold the highest standards.
- Develop and communicate clear, concise direction for the business and staff.
- Foster a safe and harmonious work environment and culture for all staff.
- Engage in strategic thinking and decision-making, aligning with long-term objectives and strategies.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Lead and mentor teams to achieve collective goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in GM, COO, or CEO roles, preferably within Accounting, Lending, or Financial Planning. If you have never worked in the Financial Planning industry at all, unfortunately you will not be shortlisted for interview.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and execution.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to navigate complex challenges and drive innovative solutions.
- Dedication to fostering a positive work culture and promoting work-life balance.
