At Guardian Childcare and Education Flinders Street, we believe in championing babies and their families, and we're seeking passionate individuals to join the team as a Baby Ambassador in our Nursery.As a Baby Ambassador, you'll embody our commitment to honoring the rights of babies and families. You'll be a skilled relationship-builder, creating warm and inclusive partnerships with families while advocating for the rights and voices of babies in our program and community.Your role as a storyteller of the day is crucial. You'll guide our team, babies, and families through each day, ensuring a whole team approach and respecting the unique rhythm of each baby. Your professionalism, warmth, and credibility will shine through as you build strong relationships with babies, families, and colleagues alike.


The Centre
Known in the local community as ‘Flinders Street ELC’, Adelaide is a 38-place centre situated on Flinders Street. With excellent amenities, street parking, and easy access to public transport, we are the only inner-city childcare centre in Adelaide accepting children from birth to 2.5 years old. Our centre has strong community and parent connections. Children get out and about on excursions, so we have a great connection with the surrounding community. We visit a variety of locations, including the Botanic Gardens, Rundle Mall, Adelaide Sustainability Centre, and the museum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building excellent relationships and fostering a supportive team environment
  • Serving as a knowledgeable and approachable role model
  • Inspiring others through your passion and commitment to babies and families

Qualifications & Certifications:
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Studies is essential for this role.
  • Previous Room Leader experience (desirable).
  • Current Working with Children Check (DCIS - South Australian).
