Real Estate (RE) manages the Group's real estate portfolio, Shell Business Operations and Corporate Travel programme. Strategic intent is to enable Shell Businesses to deliver on their goals by creating safe, secure, and productive environments that allow people to perform at their best.
The rapidly growing RE scope is one of the globe's largest RE portfolios and includes offices, industrial / labs and accommodation for Shell businesses, projects and ventures. Shell's RE team of professionals has established a strong reputation as a mature corporate real estate organisation, delivering portfolio strategies, commercial transactions, capital projects, facility and business operations services and travel support to the various Shell businesses and functions in all parts of the world. What’s the role?
The purpose of the Services Lead is to interface with all areas of Real Estate and relevant Business Units. This role will support the Real Estate Leadership Team with the successful delivery of the Facilities Management Contracts across the remote scope.
You will assist in the delivery of RE facilities management services that support the portfolio of Shell's field assets across Australia. You will work directly with our service providers and are responsible for supporting the safe and efficient delivery of services across our camp accommodation portfolio.
More specifically, you will:
- Conduct regular assurance reviews with service providers for quality and integrity and implement service quality tracking and set service standard benchmarks for the team to deliver, including quality assurance checks across each site.
- Provide visible safety leadership and management of HSSE arrangements across RE facilities within scope to deliver Goal Zero – No Harm, No Leaks.
- Work with the facilities manager and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) partner to ensure all facilities are operated in accordance with the standards and recommendations in the Shell guide, Building Code Standards, and Shell Performance Framework.
- Interface externally with vendors and service providers, as well as industry partners in complex collaboration agreements for the provision of services.
- Support the day-to-day delivery of facility management services across the portfolio by delivering the works as assigned, applying the work procedures, and frameworks.
- Assist in the delivery of top quartile pre- and post-award contract performance management through visible leadership, coaching and governance to ensure delivery of valued services within RE Australia.
What we need from you
We are keen to hear from people who have a strong communication and technical background, preferably with proven facilities management experience in complex corporate environments.
Beyond that, we’d hope to see as many of the following on your resume:
- Strong HSSE leadership and can demonstrate a track record of Goal Zero – no harm no leaks, ensuring site is 100% compliant to the HSSE framework and regulatory requirements.
- Experienced in leading facilities management across multiple large-scale operating sites.
- Knowledge in contract operations and management, proven track record in delivering and managing vendor performance management, mid to large value contract negotiation and translate the intended contract scope into valued outcomes aligned with Shell's strategic ambition.
- Effective business partnering skills with the ability to establish and influence stakeholders at different levels and cross-functional networks.
- Strong commercial focus with a proactive approach to identifying suggesting changes and/or opportunities.
- Comfortable working with, and leading through uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity and incomplete information. Can demonstrate external focus, simplicity and speed of delivery.
- Currently have a valid driver’s license.
