Job Description: As the Sales Director for our Melbourne market expansion, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and establishing our presence in this dynamic region. You will lead our sales efforts, leveraging your expertise in digital media and your deep understanding of the Melbourne market to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue and market share.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify key opportunities and challenges in the Melbourne market.
  • Develop strategic sales plans and go-to-market strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of the Melbourne market.
  • Analyze competitor activity and market trends to inform decision-making and stay ahead of the competition.

Business Development and Client Acquisition:

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients through proactive prospecting and networking.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including advertising agencies, brands, and media buyers, to drive new business opportunities.
  • Lead client presentations and negotiations, showcasing the value proposition of our solutions and closing deals to achieve sales targets.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing sales team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive individual and team success.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration to maximize sales effectiveness.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to align sales efforts with company objectives and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish KPIs and sales targets for the Melbourne market expansion, tracking progress against goals and adjusting strategies as needed to optimize performance.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management, highlighting sales trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Melbourne market.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to continuously improve sales processes, identify areas for growth, and drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in digital media sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of the Melbourne market landscape, including key players, industry trends, and client needs.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and achieve business objectives.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated, with a passion for driving growth and delivering exceptional customer value.
