We're excited to announce that we are currently accepting expressions of interest for a full-time Lead Cardiac Sonographer to head our Queensland non-invasive testing services team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing our roster, while also overseeing team operations and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. As the Lead Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, you are responsible for ensuring the day-to-day best practice delivery of all cardiac testing and scanning procedures for patients within your area. You will lead a team of skilled specialist cardiac physiologists in the delivery of these services and focus on establishing best working practices and protocols to ensure effective and efficient deployment of resources within your area.

What you’ll do:

  • Undertake a range of cardiology tests and scans as per site requirements; apply clinical expertise and work in collaboration with other specialist cardiac physiologists
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the testing service, including roster management and equipment availability
  • Provide day-to-day management and support to team members, developing team cohesion and a safe and supportive environment
  • Work collaboratively with other key stakeholders of the satellite service, particularly practice managers and head imaging technicians to ensure that patient care is seamless at all times
  • Undertake other business support & project activities as delegated by the technical services manager to assist the smooth running of the team.

Who you are:

  • Hold a post graduate qualification in the field of cardiac ultrasound
  • Current registration with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) as an Accredited Medical Sonographer (Cardiac)
  • Excellent clinical skills in the field of cardiac ultrasound with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience and the ability to provide sound clinical guidance and coaching in complex situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management and key stakeholders
  • Excellent patient care skills with a demonstrated ability to show a friendly, sensitive and professional approach when dealing with patients
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake business establishment, growth and development activities.

Other requirements for this role:

  • Ability to occasionally travel in support of the national satellite network of clinics.
