Baptist World Aid Australia is an international Christian development organisation working in 24 countries. We partner with like-minded organisations overseas to implement community development and disaster projects that empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Based in Sydney, this is a key leadership role and is accountable for achieving influence within the Baptist church and the broader Baptist network. The role holds responsibility for agreed fundraising targets and growth through strategic initiatives and activities in fundraising, Church and corporate partnerships, supporter engagement, marketing, communications, and advocacy. The role holds responsibility for the Baptist World Aid Australia brand and products including The Ethical Fashion Report, Child Sponsorship, and Better World Ambassador.

Applicants will have:

  • Significant leadership experience including of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (marketing, management, communications, theology or business) 
  • Significant and deep experience gained in areas such as partnerships/philanthropy, fundraising, marketing, communications, church leadership and/or business development
  • Expertise across brand, digital, public relations and other media. 
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage organisational resources - human, technical and fiscal with sound commercial and business acumen
  • Understanding of Baptist organisations and churches in Australia
