Business Development Manager

KGI (A Division of GlobalData) are expanding their strategic sales team and are looking for an enthusiastic and highly capable individual to spearhead sales efforts in 2018 across Melbourne and Asia Pacific. If you believe that you have what it takes to become a member of one of Asia Pacific's fasting growing Sales Teams in Advertising, then this is the role for you. Since GlobalData was founded back in 2009, the Asian Pacific Sales operation has grown from 1 to 90 individuals across BD, AM and Strategic accounts Based out of our Melbourne Sales Office.


The role is advertising sales across our digital publications and apps. We are looking for enthusiastic and capable individuals who have the potential to grow their careers as quickly as the business. As a high growth business we heavily incentive's sales and offer excellent remuneration packages and additional benefits.Looking for highly motivated Sales Manageroffering a competitive base + attractive commission package.


Key Responsibilities

  • To research and build knowledge of the relevant industry sectors through all available mediums.
  • To keep up to date with current news affairs and topics related to the relevant industry sectors to ensure a clear understanding of current industry trends, developments and issues.
  • To accurately identify and target the key decision maker within a qualified company and speak professionally and with enthusiasm regarding the product.
  • Ensure all personal targets are regularly met.
  • To work with sales management in putting together an appropriate sales proposition and presenting this accurately to decision makers.
  • Keep accurate records on company CRM regarding client data and background to ensure appropriate management of client information.
  • Provide management reports detailing pipelines, 'hot' business and expected weekly revenue to managers – providing accurate information.
  • Attend at least one summit, exhibition or event where appropriate to support the sales process within the remit of the Australian office.
  • Identify own developmental needs and work with management in putting appropriate development plans in place.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Regularly achieves monthly sales targets in accordance with package requirements.
  • Build a quality lead base.
  • Maintain daily telephone performance of at least 2.5 hours.
  • Making client presentations at least 3-5 times per day.
