About the role
This project management role is a chance for you to take the next step in your career and either bring your project expertise into the defence industry, or utilise your defence experience to dive further into the projects world.
Based in Adelaide, SA and working within our contract supporting the Australian Defence Force's fleet of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), you will be responsible for leading and managing small to medium projects, in line with established objectives.
Reporting to the Program Engineering Manager, you will plan and execute the design, procurement and introduction into service of new assets, with support provided by the ADF-GSE functional teams - with multiple projects in your allocation at any one time to ensure breadth and diversity in your role.
You will also be able to showcase your mentoring and coaching skills with some of our future talent (graduates and interns) reporting into this role.
About you
You will have an understanding of project methodologies, and preferably possess a background in project engineering, project coordination or have extensive defence related experience (with a passion for or studies completed within Project Management).
You will have the ability to manage all Project Management baselines through the development of a detailed project plan to track progress relating to scope and performance (cost, schedule, quality). Having a technical background will also assist in the specifics of this project, however is not essential.
To be successful ideally you will have:
- Australian Citizenship with active Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain)
- Passion for or experience from within the Defence industry
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management and/or engineering
- Proficiency in MS Office including MS Project (preferred)
- Experience in a project engineering, project management related role, or significant defence related experience
