We are looking for a Growth Specialist that will lead barcats into the future. This role is based in Sydney at our Head Office at Fishburners (Sydney Startup Hub) in Wynyard, and will oversee various business initiatives outside our core day to day deliverables. These growth initiatives will drive 20x multiples for our business.

Barcats is Australia’s largest hospitality communities across Australia and New Zealand and is well-positioned to continue supporting and connecting the hospitality community, one shift at a time. With a hospitality specific community of over 194,000 staff and 60,000 venues, and over 595,000 job applications processed on our platform since we launched in 2017, there’s never been a more exciting time to join the team.
 

About the role

The role is diverse with responsibilities across our new mobile and web app services and our under 18 youth platforms. We’re looking for someone with fresh ideas and thinking, but at the same time someone who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty and deliver the priority tasks at hand. Excellent digital project management experience is essential to ultimately deliver a new product launch in your first few months of starting.
 

In collaboration with our Chief Technical Officer, commercial Sponsors & brand Partners, the Head of Partnerships and Training and the Head of Marketing, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of our growth initiatives i.e. everything outside of our day to day deliverables.
  • Digital project delivery - creative direction, product and project management and execution..
  • Securing new venue partners (onboarding and driving successful campaigns)
  • New staff (vetting, onboarding and issue resolution - ensure all staff show up for shifts)
  • Brief, review and approve innovative and engaging digital marketing campaigns.
  • Owning the relationship and delivery against our under 18 youth agreements with our existing commercial sponsors including but not limited to Australian Super, Nestle Professional, Stuart Alexander.
  • Creation of new revenue streams for our under 18 youth platforms as the opportunities arise and the market demands, including funded training programs through Government and Registered Training Organisation's.

About you

This person will be hungry to make an impact and help barcats and our newly formed Joint Venture grow. 

  • Deep passion for the hospitality industry and someone who is keen to work hard for a great little startup in our 8th year of operation.
  • 2+ years hands on experience in a digital project management environment - multi partner project management experience highly regarded.
  • Experience with HR management tools would be a huge plus 
  • Proven sales and marketing results will also be highly regarded.
  • You will be sharp, well presented, willing to learn and enthusiastic.
  • Holistic knowledge of different business functions.
  • Ambitious and results-driven.
  • High energy and a little quirky.
  • Base Salary range from $95,000 to $110,000 plus super with stock options post probation.
