Product Owner – Embedded Vision Systems

Our client is a world leader in the provision of wide-area optical search systems in the Search, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance domains for Defence, Civil Defence, and Environmental Sustainment applications. They specialise in the design, fabrication, and distribution of these innovative systems and have just secured funding from deep tech and industry expert investors.

About the role:
As a Product Owner you will be responsible to synthesise stakeholder requirements too rapidly prototype, test, build, and deliver products that will solve user needs, deliver value to customers, and drive sustainable growth for our client.
As the team leader, you will be responsible for steering the team and directing suppliers in the creation of the product. This product will not only be a source of great pride for you and your team, but it will also make a significant impact in the market. Your guidance will be instrumental in delivering a product that truly makes a difference. You will work closely with the Executive team to understand the requirements, priorities, and constraints.
About you:
- You are passionate about Embedded Systems and Computer Vision technology
- You have significant experience working on embedded systems (this is critical and a deal breaker of you don't.)
- You are keen to lead a team and a product
- You are an Australian Citizen or PR and eligible for security clearance
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the executive leadership team to define the product vision, roadmap, objectives and Strategy.
- Lead the design of the product (Software and Hardware)
- Lead the Manufacturing and Testing of the product
Your skills and experience:
- Experience with Embedded Linux and programming microcontrollers (eg:STM32) is Critical
- Experience in integrating cameras
- Computer Vision Systems / ML experience is highly desirable.
- HW miniaturization
- Experience in collaborating with machine vision and control specialists
- Able to move from prototype to full product
