About the role:

The Digital Product Development team enhances sales and service by finding opportunities within the digital experience. The Digital Product Owner will manage customer interactions on key platforms, develops strategies, and lead projects, requiring strong relationship-building and agile problem-solving skills. Staying updated on generative AI tools is essential for improving the Virtual Assistant's performance and personalizing experiences.

At AGL, the Product Owner for Conversational AI expands digital interactions, enhances self-service capabilities, retains customers in digital channels, manages handovers to chat agents, and completes personalized transactions. This role demands expertise in generative AI to continually improve the Virtual Assistant and create tailored customer experiences.

What you’ll be doing:

Define and align the vision and roadmap for the domain with customer needs and business goals.

Analyse competitors and customer behaviour to identify improvement areas and usage trends.

Explore new digital capabilities and product ideas to enhance customer experience and meet business objectives.

Collaborate with user experience teams to design, prototype, develop, and test new features.

Oversee the entire process from defining requirements to managing risks and dependencies.

Ensure scrum teams deliver initiatives supporting business objectives, taking corrective actions as needed.

Define user stories and represent customer and business interests in discussions with development teams.

Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring readiness for development.

Track and report on success metrics for new features.

Continuously improve as a product owner by researching customer, industry, and technology trends.

About you:

Extensive experience working in an agile digital environment.

Commercial thinking – ability to assess value and make product decisions that maximise the return on investment.

Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and teams.

Comfortable playing a leadership role, including leading workshops, in a co-located cross functional business and IT team through discovery, development and operational usage of product development.

Solid understanding of using digital analytics to understand customer behaviour and make data driven decisions to increase customer engagement and digital usage.

Experience working on Conversational AI products would be advantageous, but not essential.
