About Data42:

We are a small team of specialists that get called when problems are complex or span large areas of the meat supply chain. We have the experience and knowledge to answer the supply chain information questions when others don't even know where to begin.

Our solutions are used by more than 80% of the Australian meat and livestock industry. But you won't see our name as we are the team that deliver the solutions used and branded by our clients. 

We are a leader in our field and have been providing data systems and consulting services to the meat and livestock industry for more than 30 years.

The Role:

This role sees you as a vital link between our clients, internal development teams, external development teams, industry bodies and government. 

You will be based in the Norman Park office working directly with the project stakeholders to learn and understand their business requirements, processes and workflows and then ensure these are being managed through the consulting phase, system design, system development, production release and ongoing system maintenance. 

The scope of the data systems we develop and operate for our clients cover the whole meat and livestock supply chain from livestock breeding thought to end user consumption in export markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead projects from requirements definition through to deployment,
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules and implementation plans,
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope and defined budgets,
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes,
  • Manage all project reporting requirements, handover documentation and compliance, internal and externally,
  • Assist in management of project resource requirements and forecasts,
  • Responsible for project quality delivery

Need to have:

  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly grasp very complex business processes and the underlining data models that support these complex business processes along the whole meat and livestock supply chain.
  • You will have demonstrated recent experience in ICT Project Management.
  • A strong understanding and proven experience in managing complex industry wide supply chain projects.
  • Stakeholder management experience is a necessity.
  • Strong communications and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Professional Qualifications in relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience/training is desirable.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work self-directed to achieved outcomes.

Highly Valued:

Domain knowledge of the meat and livestock industry.
