As a Senior Analyst you will:

• Support the delivery of accurate and comprehensive performance information about the child protection system with a focus on high quality data and analysis.
• Senior Analysts will undertake individual tasks and work as part of a team to deliver on priorities.

The Senior Analyst key responsibilities are:

  • Support the effective utilisation of information, data and systems by investigating performance reporting and data quality issues and causes and implementing solutions, as part of the data quality and corporate reporting program of work.
  • Research and provide subject matter expertise on the key components of the child protection and family support system (or similar human services field), particularly as they relate to data collection and reporting, and assist in the specification, testing and implementation of reporting solutions, including reporting datasets and information system enhancements.
  • Support detailed investigation and analysis in relation to performance reporting, measure design and data quality issues, including assistance with the preparation of submissions, reports and other documentation on data quality, data collection and performance information related issues.
  • Research content and prepare a range of written materials to a high standard including dataset and information system requirements, user acceptance testing results, project and work plans, correspondence, discussion papers, documentation and reports.
  • Utilise applications such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, R and other data visualisation and analysis tools to obtain, process, and present data for the analysis of departmental performance.
  • Understand and apply statistical concepts and undertake data analysis with the ability to translate to provide relevant and accurate information, including detailed reports and analysis.
