Are you interested in:

  • The option of being based from home several days a week.
  • Possibility of a 9-day fortnight.
  • Mentoring a team of multidisciplinary key workers to support change and drive best practice service delivery.
  • A hybrid role that allows you to continue supporting children & families with a reduced caseload.
  • Providing support through consultation.
  • Ongoing quality early intervention training that aligns with best practice principles.
  • A change from a typical clinical role, where our focus is on quality rather than billable targets.
  • Working as a partner for the NDIS and being at the forefront of innovation and best practice service delivery.

Then this role may be for you

Visit the link below to learn more about the early childhood approach and see how you make a difference:

Northcott are an established Partner in the Community with the NDIS, with a wide reach across 5 service regions in NSW. Working with us as a Partner in the Community means that you are at the forefront of change as the NDIS evolves.

We are an enthusiastic, fun-loving team of early childhood professionals with the focus of providing a high quality, best practice service within the NDIS partners in the community approach to children and families. We are seeking to expand our team of allied health professionals to join us in the emerging pathway of Early Supports. The skills and experience we are looking for include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in allied health with a paediatric caseload.
  • A strong understanding of early childhood development and the ability to use this knowledge to coach & upskill families in an individualised way – one size does not fit all.
  • In-depth knowledge of 0-9 year old developmental milestones & the impact of disability and developmental delay to engage with families & children.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills & the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary, key worker framework to ensure wholistic, quality early interventions for families.
  • Developed understanding of best practice guidelines and principles in early childhood intervention.
  • Experience working alongside families to determine the supports and connections they require to achieve their child’s individualised goals.
  • Experience providing support & therapy to families using a strengths-based, coaching approach that values the child’s natural environments.
  • A desire to drive and improve service delivery to best impact the journey of both families and staff.
  • Demonstrated experience providing clinical mentoring and support to staff.
  • Experience working with the NDIS scheme is desirable.
  • You will be supporting staff locally and potentially in regional areas. Some state travel may be required.

Other requirements include:

  • Current Driver's Licence - P1 minimum.
  • Valid Working with Children’s Check Clearance.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS WC) or willingness to obtain.
  • Fully vaccinated in accordance with current Northcott & NSW Health Regulations & requirements.
  • $92,457.22 per annum + super + salary pack.
  • We understand and value the importance of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be able to connect with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, early childhood educators, social workers & other professionals to ensure you have the knowledge to best support the child & family.
  • We have a comprehensive, tailored training program to help you understand the Partner in the Community Approach and ensure that you have the skills required to succeed with families.
  • We value ongoing mentoring and supervision including opportunities for leadership development & training.
  • We have a healthy professional development budget to provide internal & external training including Hanen SPARK, Routines Based Interview, trauma-informed practice (+ much more)
  • We have a supportive and experienced leadership team & a supervision framework that fosters your own professional development goals – we want to see you thrive and succeed
  • We are diverse and Inclusive– Our teams are multi-cultural and make it a point to embrace different cultures and opinions.
  • Our work environment is dynamic – you will work in the child’s home, early education & other mainstream and community settings and connect with your colleagues both in the office and when working remotely from home.

We don’t just focus on the bottom line. Our passion is to support children and families with both undiagnosed and diagnosed disability to live the life that they choose. As a large not-for-profit organisation we offer an inclusive culture, a diverse group of people in a great team environment, growth and desire for excellence. We also offer salary packaging, great leave entitlements and a flexible working environment available.

Covid Vaccination Status
The health and safety of our people, customers, and communities is our number one priority. To maintain this, we require all of our employees to show evidence that they have received the two full primary doses and at least one booster dose of a TGA approved Covid-19 vaccination.
