Our Role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead our Australia South consulting division. In this role, you will be at the helm of our operations across New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. Based in Sydney, you will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and leading and growing a talented team of consultants. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the services we offer and contribute to the success of our clients’ businesses.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning, and providing mentorship and support for professional growth.

2. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • As part of Xenith’s Senior Leadership Team, implement the Company’s strategic vision and long-term goals in the Australia South region.

3. Business Development

  • Be curious about industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities.
  • Lead business development efforts to expand the Australia South client base, identify new opportunities for growth and drive revenue generation through new service lines.

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, acting as a key trusted advisor on technical solutions for all stages of the asset lifecycle, and ensuing high levels of client satisfaction.

5. Project Management

  • Oversee the successful delivery of large projects ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and providing guidance and support to the teams as needed.

6. Innovation and Thought Leadership

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and new technologies and leverage insights to drive thought leadership initiatives, and brand building opportunities.
  • Be prepared to introduce and implement innovative solutions including AI and newly developed technologies.

7. Quality Assurance

  • Maintain rigorous quality assurance processes and standards for our services, ensuring accuracy, relevance and compliance with industry frameworks and standards.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Advanced qualifications in business, commerce or a related discipline underpinned by a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • A minimum of 20 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 8 years in consulting roles. A background in metalliferous mining would be highly desirable.
  • Honed leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, mentor and develop staff to establish a high performing and engaged team.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, both internally and externally.
  • Strong networking capability and a proven track record of business development and effective client management.
  • A growth mindset and demonstrated success developing and executing agreed strategies and business improvement initiatives.
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong sense of initiative, adaptability, and resilience.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake regular travel to clients’ sites and the other Xenith offices.
