THE ROLE

The Director, Community Housing Partnerships is responsible for overseeing the Department's partnerships with the community housing sector, and the delivery of programs to deliver more homes for more Victorians. The Director will provide strategic advice on contract management and associated commercial aspects across the program of works, including managing large scale request for proposal processes and delivery of contracted projects with the community housing sector to develop and manage social and affordable housing. 

As an executive working within the Housing Outcomes and Partnerships Branch you will also bring commercial professionalism and a focus on achieving client-oriented and value for money outcomes. The Director will also be accountable for the people management, business planning, budget management and reporting tasks for the business unit.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Oversee and manage the programs delivered in partnership with community housing providers, including the Social Housing Growth Fund, community housing management agreements, and other arrangements.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with (and expert on) the community housing sector for project-specific matters, including leading teams responsible for commissioning and delivering new social and affordable housing and operational activity.
  • Manage the contractual model with community housing providers which delivers preferred policy outcomes including social procurement and financial sustainability for all parties.
