Partnerships and Fundraising Lead

This exciting new position will contribute to the creation of funding and financing strategies, in line with our five year strategic plan, to enhance the provision of community housing in the inner south of Melbourne.

Reporting to the CEO, you will identify funding support, developing and maintaining key partnerships to support new housing opportunities. For the various stages of the projects you will engage with government, the property sector, individual donors and foundations to build our reputation and increase funding support.

In collaboration with the CEO and the Property and Fundraising Committee of the SPCHG Board:

  1. Develop and implement the SPCHG fundraising strategy, in line with SPCHG Strategic plan, identifying pathways for the funding of future SPCHG community housing projects and related activities
  1. Develop and manage fundraising activities to reach set targets
  1. Nurture and build external Relationships/Partnerships
  2. Contribute to organisational development and good governance

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

  • Track record of success in fundraising, acquisition, and supporter development and stewardship roles
  • Track record in developing successful partnerships to achieve goals
  • Experience with grant submissions/acquittals and reporting and managing a pipeline of trust and foundation relationships and opportunities
  • Strong understanding of the Australian philanthropic landscape and possess an existing network within the sector
  • Strong communication skills and excellent presentation and interpersonal skills including experience reporting to and preparing reports for a Board
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a busy NFP team environment.
  • Strong commitment and passion to the values and beliefs of SPCHG
