About You:
Group Business Directors are accountable for the health of the business and the agency. They are passionate leaders and mentors to their clients and the agency. They inspire and nurture creativity, driving their client’s business by thinking well beyond its current state and applying creative business thinking while optimising assets, resources, and tools on behalf of their clients.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Collaborate with Creative & Strategy Directors to set clients’ long-term creative vision. Lead and mentor your team, ensuring everyone is fully utilised but not overextended.
- Strategic Vision: Develop compelling, provocative creative strategies that align with the brand’s overall growth strategy and architecture. Project trends and anticipate issues regarding the health of the client’s business.
- Creativity: Inspire and protect the integrity of creative ideas. Encourage exploration of innovative ideas, including non-traditional approaches and media options.
- Business Acumen: Understand how the agency makes money and work to maximise revenue and growth across all DDB Group businesses. Cultivate new business opportunities and network with internal and industry experts.
- Client Relations: Maintain excellent relationships with senior clients, gaining their trust and counsel. Manage complex teams and client relations with finesse.
- Communication: Exhibit outstanding negotiation, communication, writing, and presentation skills. Set the standard for idea generation, research, and team briefings.
- Community Engagement: Lead creative product “visibility” by externalising, creating buzz, and elevating the agency’s reputation in the community. Lead new business pitches and take on additional agency responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience, ideally within a similar agency environment.
- Possesses the vision, enthusiasm, and business expertise to make strategic recommendations that benefit both our clients and our team.
- Proven experience in effective project management and selling concepts to clients.
- Strives for excellence and pushes others to challenge themselves.
- Remains calm and deliberate under work-related stress or opposition from others.
- Is passionate, energetic, and has diverse outside interests and hobbies.
