The company

My client is a rapidly growing engineering consultancy who offer services to some of the largest civil infrastructure names across in not only Australia, but across the globe. With an experienced leadership team and profitable business model, this is an extremely exciting space to work. 

With lovely offices based in Bondi Junction with water and harbour views, they are based just 2 mins walk from Bondi Junction train station and provide great access to the adjoining shopping mall with a plethora of lunch spots to choose from 

The role

Reporting to the GM of Finance, the role will have a core focus around controllership of the contracts, claims and invoicing process whilst maintaining a commercially beneficial relationship with clients. In addition you will be responsible for transitioning this into the GL and conducting margin analysis on large scale contracts. 

Core elements of the role will include - 

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including analysis and commentary
  • Preparation of project forecasting and cashflows analysis and presentation to senior management
  • Preparation of claims and invoices to issue to customer and accountability for accounts receivable
  • Business partner with operations and supporting operational requirements
  • Managing the general ledger including preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
The role would suit someone who has experience managing large scale contracts from a finance perspective with bonus points for anyone bringing experience with EBA's and transferring the accounting into analysis. 

About you
  • CA/CPA part qualified 
  • Experience working within contracts/project accounting
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be keen to progress and grow in a fast paced environment
