Short Description:

WONGDOODY APAC has brought together a world-class team of creative experts in a strategy and innovation, multi-channel user experience, visual design, technology, and delivery. With our proven ability to attract and retain top talent, we are looking for a Graphic/Experience Designer who thrives on challenge and who is hungry to grow in their ability and knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create visually compelling graphics for various internal and external communications, including presentations, documentation infographics and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain consistent branding and visual identity across all materials.
  • Assist in the design and layout of digital and print assets.
  • Develop and produce multimedia content for various platforms ensuring a high level of quality and creativity.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for improving visual and user experience elements.
  • Support the redevelopment of online spaces by designing user friendly interfaces and content, enhancing the overall user experience.
  • Work closely with the Experience Designer to plan, wireframe, and prototype new features for online platforms.
  • Ensure all design work is aligned with the goals and adhere to brand guidelines.

Note: NV1 OR Baseline Clearance is a must.

Skills /Competencies:

Essential:

Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design works.

  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word and PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (at times).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Hold a NV1 or higher Australian Government security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web development processes.
  • Willingness to learn and develop experience design skills.

Qualifications/Traits:

  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience working at a digital agency as a Graphic Designer or User Experience Designer.
  • Portfolio of key projects delivered in past years, calling out your role on the project, deliverables responsible and successes achieved.
  • Excellent communication skills (both in conversation and in writing) and a portfolio which demonstrates this ability in various phases of design.
  • Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
  • Worked within collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver multiple, successful projects.
  • Ability to travel abroad.
  • A sense of humour
