- Clerk Grade 11/12 – Base salary range from $139,787 to $161,663 plus superannuation.
The Opportunity:
Part of the Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade, Create NSW is focused on sustainably growing the NSW arts, culture and creative industries. Underpinning our work is the NSW Government’s 10-year arts, culture and creative industries policy, Creative Communities, which recognises the unique place of the sector in NSW and places culture at the heart of the state.
Creative Communities is grounded in five guiding principles that prioritise First Nations culture, embrace the broad creative industries, support sustainably growing the creative industries ecosystem, take the creative industries to the world and advocate for the value of culture to build capacity, creativity, and community cohesion. Its framework with a focus on people, infrastructure and audiences will inform Create NSW’s work for the next decade to support the arts, culture and creative industries to flourish and enhance the lives of everyone in NSW.

Screen NSW is established to assist, promote and strengthen the screen industry in NSW. Through its funding programs and skilled staff, Screen NSW:
- supports the screen production sector to make quality projects that create jobs and grow stable businesses in NSW
- provides advice and information to improve capability in the sector and enable industry practitioners to participate in the global industry
- funds and promotes new forms of screen content and use of technology
- collaborates with industry to create opportunities; and
- facilitates all aspects of filming in NSW to make it the most attractive state for screen production
The Senior Manager, Executive Operations and Strategy role is a newly created position working closely with the Head of Screen NSW. This role leads and contributes to executive operations, strategy development and compliance to support the objectives of Screen NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the shaping of arts, screen and culture across the state.
This role is initially for a period of 11 months with the potential for the role to become ongoing.
Key accountabilities include:
- Provide expert advice to the Head of Screen NSW on the development and implementation of a broad range of strategies and procedures, to achieve organizational objectives.
- Develop and oversee the implementation and evaluation of organisational practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to achieve business outcomes and lead and contribute to projects to support the development of strategic objectives.
- Advise on diverse and complex policy, program and operational matters to support executive decision making.
- Lead the provision of accurate and timely advice to the Deputy Secretary, Secretary and the Minister for the Arts, in the form of briefs, House Folder Notes, Budget Estimates notes, speeches, meeting briefs, budget information, Cabinet minutes and other legislative and parliamentary matters, as required.
To be successful for this role you will have knowledge and experience in providing executive support within a Government Department along with good knowledge of the Creative Industries. Your ability to establish and maintain productive relationships across a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly valued.
