The role
Reporting to the Retail Property Financial Controller you will manage a team of 6 with the end to end responsibility for a large and complex portfolio of retail assets across Australia. The role will operate in a leading/mentoring role whilst providing high level strategic guidance to cross functional stakeholders
Responsibilities of the team will include -
- Responsibility for integrity and delivery of accounting results for a portfolio of retail properties
- Coordination in budget and forecast process and related reporting
- Preparation of variance analysis commentary for monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Identify improvements in month end reporting process and assist in streamlining the process
- Property disposal and acquisition – settlement statement preparation, settlement adjustment and post settlement financial management;
- Partnering with Regional and Centre Managers on a daily basis to drive financial performance
About you
- CA/CPA qualified
- Property experience highly desirable but not necessary
- Team management experience a must
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Chartered accounting background favoured but not necessary
