About the Role

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS INCLUDING GEELONG/BALLARAT OR BENDIGO/BENELLA

Reporting to the Manager Transport Strategy this role will be responsible for supporting the development of transport programs through curating and maintaining the regional network pipeline.

Delivering on the objectives of the Transport Integration Act and an integral part of the project lifecycle, this role will ensure the network pipeline reflects the current and future investment priorities for the region.

This role will maintain an understanding of government priorities, current funding programs and strategic plans enabling timely and efficient responses to regular requests for potential candidate projects for

future programs and business cases.

This role will work closely with the central network pipeline and programs team and will be integral regional governance for the development of the pipeline as well as driving best practice and

consistency across regions.

This role will maintain strong relationships with delivery partners across DTP to ensure the pipeline has upto-date cost and scope information and supports the region to develop quality artefacts aligned with Victoria’s Living Transport Network, which in turn will ensure a better-informed transport investment strategy and program.

• Maintain and curate the network pipeline consistent with the established guidelines and the Victorias Living Transport Network (VLTN).

• Craft clear, compelling and accurate pipeline project entries that describe the project scope and strategic context, synthesised from a variety of documents and sources.

• Maintain an understanding of government priorities, current funding programs and strategic artefacts enabling timely and efficient responses to regular requests for potential candidate projects across a range of future State and Federal funding programmes.

• Coordinate and facilitated the regional pipeline governance process.

They will make informed decisions by consulting relevant information and applying critical thinking in the appropriate context.

A foundational understanding of future focus and policy design is essential. The candidate will align their work with team and organizational objectives, embrace new technologies, and utilize operational policies to guide their efforts. They will contribute to business case development and continuously seek information to enhance their policy knowledge and application.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory

  • Experience with planning, development and / or delivery of transport infrastructure at a project or program level
  • Bachelor or post graduate in a civil engineering, planning and or related discipline

  • Driver’s License
  • Ordinary Hours of Work – This position may require work outside of regular business hours
