KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REPRESENTATIVE INITIATIVES:

  • Identify critical issues and opportunities using both quantitative and qualitative analysis to make recommendations to management on how to optimize near-term and long-term growth and profitability.
  • Assist operating management to compile strategic plans to increase market share, profitably, in key regional markets and with targeted market segments.
  • Analyze competitors' strengths and weaknesses and review and modify on a regular basis to ensure current business plans are aligned for success.
  • Assess new business opportunities (M&A) and their potential impact.
  • Formulate strategic recommendations in response to changes in the economy, industry and competitive landscape.
  • Improve the company's market share tracking process. Provide a base from which progress can be measured and establish a mechanism for informed change when needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of a robust sales and operations planning process.
  • Maximize and optimize the company's use of internal and external benchmarking.
  • Actively participate in quarterly divisional business reviews and annual budget meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for Board of Directors meetings as requested.
  • Serve as a sounding board for the CEO and other senior leaders on a variety of operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Interface with a broad set of outside constituencies, i.e. bankers, attorneys' customers and suppliers.
