Senior Accountant - Taxation & Business Services

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of public practice experience in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with XERO and Microsoft products (essential)
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients - You will be dealing directly with clients
  • High levels of accuracy and strong attention to detail

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and SMSFs
  • Manage the preparation of Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Oversee bookkeeping and payroll management using the Xero software platform and associated apps
  • Liaise with the Tax Office, ASIC, and other government agencies
  • Drive client-facing interactions, providing advisory services and building long-term client relationships
  • Show motivation and initiative to develop as a well-rounded accountant who looks beyond compliance to deliver value-added services
